Answers to installation, usage and translation questions

Do Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud translations cost extra?

No. Alibaba Cloud offers 1M free characters per month and Tencent Cloud 5M free characters per month — more than enough for daily use.

We recommend Alibaba Cloud's Professional plan for better results on e-commerce images.

Why does Bing translation sometimes fail?

Bing can be unreliable on mainland networks. Use a VPN with an overseas node, or simply switch to the Google, Alibaba Cloud or Tencent Cloud engine.

Antivirus blocks the installer or upgrade?

Click 'Always Allow', or temporarily exit / disable your antivirus before installing or upgrading.

Text not recognized — can't translate or save PSD?

High-DPI screens with scaling above 100% can break AI recognition and PSD export. Please try:

  • On 4K screens: set the resolution to 1080P (1920×1080) and scaling to 100% while translating;
  • On high-DPI laptops (default scaling >100%): set scaling to 100%.

Right-click the desktop → Display settings → Scale & layout. You can restore the settings afterwards — normal use is unaffected.

Can the text in exported PSD files be edited?

Yes. Layers are rasterized by default, and the text layers are hidden — switch them to visible and edit freely.

Note: some languages (e.g. Hindi, Thai) require the correct font or they render as boxes — switch fonts in Photoshop's Character panel until they display properly. Installing Alibaba PuHuiTi 2.0 covers most world languages.

Can the OCR black window be closed?

No. OCR runs as a separate background service (background-only since v1.2.0). Closing it will stop AI text recognition — restart the app to recover.

App fails to open, or reports network errors when translating?

Windows 10 / 11 Home, Ghost or lite builds may lack core Windows libraries. Install the Microsoft VC++ Runtime Bundle to repair the environment — it also helps other software and games.

Can't sign in or register?

The server uses a global CDN (Cloudflare); DNS pollution in some regions can block sign-in. Try:

  • Switching your DNS to 223.5.5.5 (Alibaba public DNS);
  • Or enabling a proxy and restarting the app (most cross-border users already have one).
App lags when translating multiple images at once?

Use a PC with 2GB+ dedicated GPU memory for batch translation, or process images in smaller batches.

AI repair is CPU-intensive — please wait, or use a stronger PC. On low-end PCs, keep batches to 8 images or fewer.
